 Born July 5, 1949 at Ilesa, Professor Oyewusi Ibidapo-Obe attended IGS/Obokun High School between 1962 and 1966. After graduating from IGS, he attended Igbobi College (1967-68), University of Lagos (1968-71), and University of Waterloo, Canada (1972-76) where he obtained his Ph.D.
Professor Ibidapo-Obe occupied several academic positions in Canada as a postgraduate student before returning to University of Lagos in 1976. He became a full professor in 1983 and the Dean of Faculty of Engineering in 1988. He has been a visiting Professor to several universities, including in Harare Zimbabwe, Los Angeles USA, and in Toronto Canada.
