Born on April 15, 1926. After leaving IGS, Justice Agbaje-Williams started career as a building inspector at Lagos town council in 1945. He later became a journalist before proceeding to England in 1951 for further education; he was Associate Editor of Zik Group of Newspapers in 1947. He was a legal practioner with Rosiji, Ighodaro & Agbaje-Williams and a Senior State Counsel in 1967. He became the Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary in 1974, the same year he was High Court Judge in Old Oyo State.
Justice Agbaje-Williams became the Chief Judge of Old Oyo State in 1985.
