Born on January 18, 1927, Oba Adeyeye, Ado-Oko of Ido-Oko in Ijesaland, worked as a Clerk at P&T in 1949 to 52 before proceeding to England for further studies. He worked as a civil servant most of his career. He was in the Federal Ministry of Mines and Power as a Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Trade. He also worked with ADB, International Development Association, World Bank, Nigerian national Supply Company, Tourist Board, Nigeria Airways, and NICON.
